Labiaplasty to beautify the female genitalia.

Recommended to correct asymmetries and abnormalities.

Labioplasty is surgery that involves the correction of the shape of the female genitalia. The most common intervention is the Labiaplasty of reduction or Plasty of Lips, which consists of the reduction of the lower lips of the genitals of the woman. Labiaplasty is performed in women who, due to congenital reasons or due to the passage of time and functional deterioration of the tissues, have overly large, asymmetrical or hanging labia, or require a liposuction of the pubis or a vaginal narrowing.

The labia minora are placed inside the vulva, protected by the labia majora. Their size, shape and symmetry vary in each woman. In a normal situation they are hidden by the labia majora, except when they present an excess of length and thickness, standing out and causing certain problems not only aesthetic but functional, both in daily activity and in intimate relationships.

The causes of this hypertrophy can be from hereditary, fruit of physical efforts during the daily life, by the pregnancy and childbirth, hormonal variations in the puberty or by hormonal treatments or other medicines. This condition of the external genital area of the woman carries a lot of discomfort when dressing tight clothes, doing daily activities or sports, aesthetic discomfort and even pain in sexual relations.

Labioplasty consists of surgically removing excess mucosal and subcutaneous fat that protrudes and gives the correct shape that is required for a desirable appearance.

It is performed under local anesthesia and sedation. This type of surgery is practically ambulatory, performed with mild sedation, local anesthesia and has a rapid recovery.
